Adge, this is just for you... since I do not think my life is exciting enough to blog about, but whatever.
So since I didn't go on my weekend vacay, we decided to do a daytrip today.
On Friday night, I fell asleep with my clothes and lights on sometime before 9:00. Joe called me at 8:15 this morning to see if I was getting ready to go. I answered "yes" and then quickly fell back to sleep.
When he came to pick me up, I was as dizzy as a tornado. Oh, yes, that is a fourth grade simile, my friends. Anyway, I wasn't feeling my hottest and was super close to just going back to bed where I could drown my headache and barfy feelings in the comfort of my new bed. But I decided I needed to be a trooper and do something fun this weekend.
Our first stop - Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in Long Beach to meet some small group peeps. You know what goes so well with a stomach flu, Roscoe's! Pysche! Not! Whatever! (or whatever team the cool kids are saying these days). I ordered a waffle and a dry biscuit, along with a Sprite. I finished the Sprite, but not anything else.
Next, we went to see the freakshows at Venice Beach. I fell asleep on the ride there. I was almost ready to go back home then, but I kept on trucking. We were both disappointed that there were not as many freaks out. Where was the silverman whose slick robotic dance moves never cease to amaze me? I think he has been replaced with some gold friends. My favorite freak show of the Venice, was the lady (who was high on something) gave everyone a lecture because someone trashed an almost full cup of soda just to put their cigarette out! "There's so much soda that has been wasted". It made her sick. I always give props to those who are trying to save our cola population in the world! :)
After that, we headed up to Hollywood. We walked around the Kodak Theater. I was not feeling like shopping - that's how sick I am! So Joe thought it would be fun to go on Hollywood Tour. We bought our tickets and were told to arrive back to that spot at 2:45. I made sure we were back at 2:30, so I could request a front row seat in the bus. I don't think the Queen of Carsickness who is recovering from the stomach flu should have to sit in the back of the bus. So we got in the bus, which was later filled with people from all others parts of the United States. The people behind us (who only got that seat because they had to kick out the original sitters because they were too big to slide back in the third row of the van) were from Texas. The woman has every issue of the National Enquirer memorized and checks people.com on an hourly basis. While I am in my bed blogging, I bet she is hanging out with the paparazzi waiting for Britney to come out of her gates. No joke! Anyway, we saw some cool stars' homes and other Hollywood landmarks.
We have always said we were going to go to LA to go to Big Wangs. We both watch, The Hills. I am sure Joe would be so excited that I blogged that. Anywho, once the girls were all going out for a fun night (to Big Wangs) and they shrieked "Big Wangs" before leaving. Sometimes we shout out "Big Wangs" with all our glory before a fun night out, too. So we drove by Big Wangs, it looked kind of ghetto, and we thought that sports bar food was not what my stomach was craving.
To finish our adventure, we had an early dinner at a sidewalk cafe on Sunset. I had some pasta. Good stuff. First real meal! Then we came home. That was my day.
It was cool, but not like getting a Mac. :)
All, I have to say is that I am glad I didn't get sick next weekend. Nothing is going to stop me from seeing Sex and the City on Friday!!

Barf
I am currently in my bed surrounded by crackers, gatorade, Sprite, and applesauce. Oh, and a trashcan next to me filled with my own vomit. That's right, I got the stomach flu.
Last night, I was pretty sure I was going to die. I puked every 30 minutes over a 12 hour course. After crying myself to sleep, I woke up without the pukes and am very thankful for that.
However, I was supposed to be on a plane at 7:00am this morning to go to San Francisco. That's not happening.
Everytime Joe and I plan a vacation I get really sick and we have to reschedule. It stinks!
The good thing about all of this is that I think I am down to my goal weight.
Aren't you glad I decided to post another blog? Riveting! I know!
